Cherry Blossom Honey…

…Will be available this cherry season!!

Mike has always had an interest in bees and three years ago a swarm of bees landed on the net covering the cherries.

This was the catalyst to act on the interest.

While initially having no idea about bees, a bit of trial and error & a bee keeping course later, we now have 6 hives that will be used in the cherry orchard to help with pollination this season.

The result of all the bee’s hard work will be honey with a cherry blossom flavour.

While this will initially only be available from the road side cherry tent, we will be looking into viable packaging options for interstate customers (any pointers would be greatly appreciated).

In the meantime pruning is continuing in the orchard & we are waiting for some rain to fill the dam as the south east of Tasmania has been unusually dry this winter so far.

Regards,

Andrew & the Woodstock team.
